Rumours had it that Sean Tizzle has silently retired from the music scene and moved to the United States of America. 

Sean Tizzle When popular afro-pop music singer, Morihanfen Oluwaseun Oluwabamidele, a.k.a Sean Tizzle went missing in action on the music scene, it was generally believed that he had probably quit music and relocated abroad. However, in a chat with Showtime, the ‘Sho Lee’ hit-maker explained why it seemed like he had quit music. “A huge number of people tend to think I relocated or moved abroad; this was the mindset of a lot of people about me.I traveled for months on my US tour and also spent time working with other artistes and producers. As an artiste I believe change of environment is sometimes helpful for a creative person,” he explained.

Nasty C Inks Record Deal With Def Jam

Revered South African rapper Nasty C is taking his music to the next level with the signing of a brand new deal with top hip hop label Def Jam Recordings.

The new deal with Def Jam Recordings is in collaboration with Sony Music South Africa which is his parent label. The new move is to facilitate the release of his forthcoming album.

After ‘Bad Hair’, ‘Strings and Bling’, Nasty C is ready for his third studio album ‘Zulu Man With Some Power’. A new single ‘There They Go‘ has been released as a lead single towards the album release. The folks at Def Jam were happy to have him on board.

“Nasty C is a unique and forward-thinking artist who is at the forefront of a new generation of rappers emerging from Africa. Def Jam is a globally recognized brand synonymous with excellence in hip-hop, and we are excited to welcome Nasty C — an international star with real vision and talent — into the family”, said the label’s CEO Jeff Harleston.

Fireboy Is My Favourite New School Artiste – Wande Coal

Veteran Nigerian singer Wande Coal is the latest guest on RED TV. The ‘Ololufe‘ shared some brief moments and highlights of his music career.

Wande Coal while on RED TV revealed his main goal at the time was to become a dancer for international stars like Missy Elliott. But that eventually changed after he met D’banj and Don Jazzy at a show in UNILAG. He approached them and told them he could dance on set while they performed, the rest his history now.

He also shared his thoughts about the new school artistes on the block like Rema, Fireboy DML, Joeboy etc. However, out of the lot, his favourite new school act is YBNL Fireboy DML.

Wande Coal revealed he is still working on his 7 track EP and would be released soon enough even though it wasn’t released as scheduled.
