In what can be likened to a stealth act, Nigerian pop singer, Kiss Daniel has effected a change to his stage name on all his social media accounts.

Kiss Daniel
Nigerian singer and entertainer, Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kiss Daniel, who is best known for his smash hit single “Woju”, has changed his name on his social media accounts to Kizz Daniel.
The singer posted a photo of himself and wrote; “Kizz Daniel omo mi.”
The singer’s Twitter handle still remains @iamkissdaniel but his Twitter name has also been edited to read ‘Kizz Daniel’.
Speculation is rife that the slight variation in the name is a loophole to escape legal implications from his former label, G-Worldwide Entertainment who on December 2017, said it had obtained a court order restricting him from using his stage name or any of the songs recorded in the last four years.
Kiss Daniel’s exit from the label and the stretched-out contract dispute prompted G-Worldwide Entertainment to release a statement.
The ‘Woju’ singer has not released an official statement to support the name change.

NBA Youngboy Released From Jail, To Remain On House Arrest For 14 Months

Published

on

It looks as if NBA Youngboy is enjoying his freedom this Thursday morning. Back in May, Youngboy, real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, was taken into custody after a social media video surfaced showing him allegedly making violent threats. The 19-year-old was on probation for a 2016 shooting—a case where he pleaded guilty. By taking that plea,  Gaulden was able to avoid jail time as he was given a 10-year suspended sentence,  however, he was placed on probation for three years.

Gaulden was instructed to keep himself out of trouble, but in February of this year, the rapper was arrested in Atlanta.  According to reports, Gaulden was at a hotel when a woman he was with assaulted a housekeeper. During that time, a video circulated on social media that reportedly showed the rapper threatening someone, also a violation of his probation.

In June, Gaulden was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail, but after being credited with time served, he had roughly a remaining two months. The day of his release has come as he was captured making his way out of the facility before he jumped on Instagram Live where his adoring fans were excited to see his face. Gaulden will now be placed on house arrest for 14 months where he will wear a GPS ankle monitor. During this time he also isn’t allowed to perform.

6ix9ine’s Ex-Manager Shotti’s “Right Hand Man” Sentenced To 62 Months In Prison

Published

on

Another defendant in Tekashi 6ix9ine’s federal racketeering and gun case was sentenced to prison time earlier today. According to Complex, Faheem “Crippy” Walter was sentenced to 62 months in prison. He pled guilty this past spring to two counts for his involvement in an armed robbery that took place on April 2018. The robbery itself was filmed, allegedly by 6ix9ine, with items taken during the incident discovered at the rapper’s home. Walter’s co-defendant, Jesnel Butler, was hit with a 5-year sentence just last month. Walter admitted to his involvement in the Manhattan robbery as well as brandishing a weapon but court documents made it clear that the gun wasn’t used at all during the robbery. The government insisted that he grabbed it from 6ix9ine who received it from Shotti. The Assistant United States Attorney Michael Longyear described Walter as a “right-hand man” to Shotti, although it was also revealed that he wasn’t a member of the Nine Trey gang. After his sentence, Walter took the opportunity to apologize to the court, his family and the victims. “I acted against my better judgment and I know I was wrong,” he said. “I’ll never do anything to hurt anyone again.” On top of his involvement in the robbery, the government also said that he was present during the shooting at Barclay’s Center as well as the Phillipe Chow altercation that resulted in Walter getting shot.
